This week saw quite a lot of progress being made towards finishing the final book of the Scorched Earth trilogy, as I completed chapter sixty-six, then moved on to chapter sixty-two. This chapter was something I’d been planning since my fourth book Fire Angel: Igniting the Spark, as it also sets up some future plans I have and now it was finally time to pull it off, which had me quite excited. With those two chapters complete, all that’s left to do is finish the aftermath.
Having completed chapter sixty-two, I wrote the opening paragraph of chapter seventy before switching over to seventy-six which I completed in a day, then moved on to completing chapter seventy-eight the following day. That’s where my writing ended for the week. I then turned my attention to begin preparing for my next book, by working out some issues with an idea I had for one of the earlier chapters with which I wasn’t happy, along with coming up with another couple of ideas for the story.
Meanwhile, I’ve been looking into some potential cover designers to do the cover for the final Scorched Earth book. Two of them so far haven’t made the cut, but I still have a few more to go through, so here’s hoping the right person for the job is amongst them.
